Dart Music International (DMI) is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to enrich the culture of Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas by exposing patrons of the arts to other cultures through music.
Their mission is important because the musicians they work with have a populist, “every man” perspective on their own society and culture that is often very different from the generally accepted view in our country. This is a message that dispels stereotypes and better informs our world-view in a manner that resonates with students, young professionals, and socially active people in the US and the rest of the world.
Dart Music International was the latest participant in our Net Impact Workshop Series. They worked with Net Impact to discover a solution to enable them to reach financially sustainability. The attached presentation summarizes the ideas and results generated in that session.
The Net Impact Challenge Workshop Series is a rubber-meets-the-road venue for Net Impact Austin members to apply their professional skills to improvement of social, environmental, and economic conditions in Austin. Workshops are group consulting activities to address the current challenges faced by local non-profit and small business clients.
